MATHCOUNTS
The Florida Engineering Society hosts the MATHCOUNTS Competition Series in February each year.
Together with the National Math Club and the Math Video Challenge, the competition is a part of the National
MATHCOUNTS program which supports math skills in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.
At the competition, students from local middle schools participate in three rounds of morning testing, an unofficial ciphering round and a countdown round to determine winners that will advance to a state-level competition. The local competition
relies on volunteer efforts of our members and donations from the community. If you would like to be a part of this exciting competition, consider joining the MATHCOUNTS committee! Contact Rachel Back at [email protected]
or Robert Turnage at [email protected] for more information.
