New this year to the Northeast Florida chapter, FES has created a young professionals group! The objectives of this group are
to foster camaraderie among members 35 and under, to represent this demographic in decisions that impact the
engineering industry and to educate this generation on the current issues that engineers face in government.

FIRST THURSDAY TRIVIA NIGHT!Let's get together - just for fun! Thursday nights are trivia night at Sneakers (8133 Point Meadows Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32256). We're declaring the 'first Thursday of the month' as FES night. The game starts at 7:30, so let's meet at 6:30 for dinner and to make sure we get a table. CONGRATULATIONS TO JOE CHAPMION, PE, 2014 NEFL E-WEEK YOUNG ENGINEER OF THE YEAR!Joe Champion, PE, director of CEI Services at Ellis & Associates, was nominated by the Florida Engineering Society and was recognized at the annual E-Week celebration as the 2014 Young Engineer of the Year.
Joe grew up in Tallahassee, FL and graduated from the University of North Florida with his degree in Civil Engineering. Congratulations to Joe for his well-deserved recognition! |
